Paul is a strategic leader in next‑generation energy solutions, helping data center clients around the world navigate the transition to reliable, sustainable, and cost‑efficient power. He specializes in architecting end‑to‑end energy strategies that include Behind‑the‑Meter Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), natural gas and geothermal plants, and integrated renewable systems such as solar and battery storage.
With more than 30 years of energy‑industry experience, Paul brings a deep understanding of wholesale and retail unregulated power markets. Throughout his career, he has built and led high‑performing origination teams and driven commercial success across physical and financial energy marketing, greenfield development, risk management, M&A, long‑term contracting, and commercial operations.
In his previous role at Diode, Paul partnered directly with major marketing/trading firms, commercial and industrial (C&I) customers, and regulated utilities to structure innovative long‑term off take agreements for data centers. His work spanned both physical and financial arrangements, always focused on delivering turnkey, scalable power solutions tailored to global customer needs.
Paul holds a Master of Science in Financial Markets & Trading, an MBA in Finance, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to entering the energy sector, he served as a Naval Nuclear Officer aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise, where he developed the operational discipline and technical foundation that continue to shape his approach to complex energy challenges.
